Mister Charles is Duro Hospitality's irreverent French and Italian room, opened in July 2023 inside the landmarked former Highland Park Soda Fountain building on Knox Street. Thirty-eight foot ceilings, a rare wine list, and an address people routinely get wrong.
Mister Charles Is Not The Charles
These are two different restaurants from the same group, and confusing them will send your car to the wrong side of town.

The Michelin Guide made this exact mistake at its Texas launch in November 2024, listing The Charles when the recommendation belonged to Mister Charles. Michelin called it a geolocation error and corrected it. If a guide can get it wrong, a rideshare certainly can.
The menu is French and Italian without the reverence, and the wine list runs to genuinely rare bottles. The room is the draw as much as the food: a landmarked shell with the ceiling height to prove it.

Twenty-six on the mezzanine is a comfortable seated private dinner. The jump to a 160 buyout is the largest single step in our dining collection, so there is little in between here.

No dress code is published. The group's portfolio page lists a Market Center Boulevard address, which belongs to a sibling property, not to Mister Charles.
