Pick Your Base Camp: Walk to the Game, or Wake Up in Dallas

Where to stay for a Cowboys game comes down to one trade. Sleep in Arlington's Entertainment District and you walk to AT&T Stadium; sleep in Uptown or downtown Dallas and you get the better weekend, plus a 17-mile ride each way. Pick the base by what the trip is really for.

Base Distance to AT&T Stadium Getting to the game Best for
Arlington Entertainment District (Loews Arlington, Live! by Loews)Next door, between AT&T Stadium and Globe Life FieldOn footGame-first trips, families, anyone allergic to postgame traffic
Uptown Dallas (Ritz-Carlton, Rosewood Crescent, Hotel ZaZa)About 17 miles, a little more from UptownChauffeured SUV, Sprinter or party busBachelor weekends, couples, dinner-and-a-game trips
Downtown Dallas (The Joule, Omni, Fairmont)About 17 milesChauffeured ride, ideally with a driver who knows the lotsCorporate groups, convention travelers, big blocks of rooms

Distance is Visit Dallas's measure from the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center downtown to the stadium. DFW Airport sits about 11 miles from the stadium, Love Field about 16.

Staying in Arlington: The Two Loews Hotels at the Stadium's Front Door

Arlington built a hotel district between its two ballparks, and Loews owns the address. The Loews Arlington Hotel opened on February 13, 2024 with 888 rooms in a 21-story tower between Globe Life Field and AT&T Stadium, plus a beach club with two pools, a water slide and a man-made sandy beach. A skybridge connects it to the 300-room Live! by Loews, which opened in 2019 at Texas Live!, the district's dining and watch-party complex, with an outdoor lounge that looks straight at the stadium.

"(Live! By Loews) competes with hotels from Dallas and Fort Worth."

Scott Nassar, managing director, Loews Hotels, as quoted in Meetings Today (2019)

He has a point, and the point is the walk. No lot to find, no exit ramp to sit on, and a postgame drink at Texas Live! while everyone else discovers I-30. The trade: Arlington is a game-day town. Once the stadium empties, the steakhouse, rooftop and nightlife shortlist is shorter than Dallas's.

Staying in Dallas: Better Nights, One Ride Each Way

The view from base camp. The stadium is 17 miles west, and somebody else is driving.

Uptown and downtown Dallas win everything except the commute: the restaurants, the bars, the brunch that fixes Saturday night. The ride is the whole question, and it has a clean answer. Book one chauffeured vehicle sized to the group, and it drops you where cars are allowed to stop. Limousines and SUVs drop off in Lots 1 and 6, buses park in Lot 15, and after the game the driver meets you at the pickup zone by the Miller Lite House.

The vehicle math lives in the party bus to Cowboys games guide: a luxury SUV for six, a Sprinter van for 13, a party bus when the whole bachelor party is coming. Lot opening times, the bag rule and gate entries are in the AT&T Stadium game day guide.

Book the Room, the Ride and the Seats Together

The best Cowboys weekend is the one where the hotel, the car and the tickets were planned by the same people. Pick your date from the 2026 home schedule, look at a Cowboys suite if the group is big enough to fill one, then send the game, the headcount and where you want to sleep. We line up the room, the ride and the seats on one request. You just have to pick a jersey.
