Maracana is one of the great stadiums in world sport and it has spent most of its life hosting a rather different kind of football. Baltimore arrive as the visitors on a scoreboard that will insist Dallas is at home. The whole thing lands in the Central afternoon, which is early evening in Brazil, so it sits neatly into a Sunday here without anyone having to set an alarm. It is a genuinely odd fixture and a genuinely great one, the kind that only happens because the league keeps pushing its own borders outward. Dallas gets to claim it and watch it from eight time zones of remove.
