About Texas Star Golf Course
There is something to be said about being able to see nothing but beauty in a stretch of land whose soul purpose is to to be driven and walked on and pummeled with clubs and balls. At Texas Star Golf Course in Euless, TX, located just outside of the Dallas-Forth Worth airport, practicality and beautiful serenity join together to create an experience unrivaled by most. Designed by golf course architect Keith Foster, Texas Star Golf is able to provide a challenge with minimal disruption of its natural surroundings.
The Texas Star Golf Course expands over 275-acres of Texas' best greenery. Beautiful, lush forestry line the edges of the outer and inner holes of the course, creating a dangerous boundary that one can't help but admire. Though some may want to admire the look of this course, getting through the full 18-hole course will require strategic planning of each shot. Of the 18 holes, all but eight of them are home to some form of water hazard that seems to blend perfectly with the lush scenery. Rolling hills of fairway accentuate the dangerous hazards, as seen on the courses' 9th hole (Devil's Point), where crossing the Hurricane Creek hazard doesn't necessarily mean you're in the clear.
If you're finding your skill level less then par for what you'd like. Texas Star offers a selection of golf clinics and lessons, hosted by PGA member Dan Walden. These professionally taught lessons and clinics will cover varying topics that range from long game techniques all the way to strategic planning of that final putt. Even if you find yourself rather skilled in the game of golf, a little extra practice at the on-site practice facility could go a long way.
When the hot Texas sun has been doing its damage for 18 straight holes, it is always good to have a place to retreat to - at Texas star, that retreat is Raven's Grille. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Raven's Grille offers a dining experience that could easily rival any five-star affair. With two separate rooms to choose from, guests can decide whether they prefer to dine within a Southwest setting amongst vaulted ceilings or get closer to nature in a more rustic Garden room with a first rate view of the 18th fairway. Breakfast at the Raven's Grille serves up the typical classic items such as eggs and pancakes while lunch and dinner menus are adorned with items such as Double Barrel Chicken Fried Steak and Southern Fried Catfish. Let's face it, golf is far more an exerting sport then most people tend to think, so a nice heavy meal is sure to bring back most of that lost strength.
If you've got the skill to successfully complete a hazard-filled course, then you should do your eyes a favor and check out the Texas Star Golf Course. Serene surroundings and an overabundance of nature work well with the courses skill level to bring about an unrivaled golfing experience.
