The Rivalry:
The Red river rivalry game is played annually at the Cotton Bowl Stadium in Dallas Texas, during the third weekend of the State Fair Park in October. The name is derived from the Red River that forms part of the boundary between Texas and Oklahoma that has in the past caused conflict between the two states, most notably the 1931 Red River War. The participants are the Sooners team of the University of Oklahoma and the Longhorns team of the University of Texas at Austin. The game is played the week following the Texas State Fair featuring Prairie View A&M University and Grambling State University.The name of this game may have changed, but the demand for tickets has remained constantly strong as it is one of the top games in college football each season.
Seating:
